Manish Paul, who is referred to as the Sultan of Stage by his fans, is an Indian television presenter, anchor, model, singer, actor, and comedian in Bollywood. He began his career as an RJ and VJ, followed by stand-up comedy and hosting. And then moved to acting.

Urmil Paul, who is a housewife. He has one elder brother, Vivek Paul, and an elder sister, Jyoti Paul Mohan. He got married to his school girlfriend, Sanyuktha, after dating her for 13 years. Sanyuktha is a teacher by profession. The couple was blessed with a daughter, Saisha Paul, and son, Tuvann.

Childhood:

Manish Paul belongs to a  Punjabi family originally from Silakot to Delhi, involved in the financial business. He did his schooling from Apeejay School, Sheikh Sarai New Delhi. After his schooling, he did his B.A. in Tourism, from the University of Delhi, College of Vocational Studies. After completing his studies, he lived with his grandmother in Chembur, Mumbai.

Acting Career:

After completing his graduation, Manish started hosting cultural events in schools and colleges. He started his television career in 2002 by hosting the show “Sunday Tango” on Star Plus. Next, he worked as a VJ with Zee Music. Subsequently, he joined Radio City as a Radio Jockey, hosting the morning drive time show ‘Kasa Kai Mumbai’.Later he entered channel Star One’s ‘Ghost Bana Dost’ to play the role of a ghost. Paul has acted in many serials such as ‘Radhaa Ki Betiyaan Kuch Kar Dikhayengi’ on NDTV Imagine, Zindadil on ZeeNext, Ssshhhh…Phir Koi Hai on Star One, Wheel Ghar Ghar Mein, and ‘Kahani Shuruon Zee TV with the Love Guru, and also the famous show Kuchh Cook Hota Hai on 9x. However, as the actor found it unsatisfying, he quit daily soaps. As a result, he was even out of work for a period of eight months in 2008. Though he had appeared in cameo roles such as in Tees Maar Khan (2010) which is of Akshay Kumar’s and Katrina Kaif’s, Paul made his debut in a lead role of the computer geek Mickey in Mickey Virus (2013) which received a lot of appreciation.

Career as a Television host and Presenter:

Though Manish has done an incredibly good number of films and daily soaps, he got much needed appreciation and recognition only from being a Television host and Presenter. He gained recognition after hosting the famous singing show,’ Saa Ree Gaa Maa Paa Chhote Ustaad’, and later he also appeared in ‘Comedy Circus’, which is a stand-up comedy series. He also hosted the dance show ‘Dance India Dance Li’l Masters’ which was aired on Zee TV. He did participations such as in ‘Star Ya Rockstar’, a celebrity singing show on Zee TV, and co-hosted ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’ on Colors TV with Ranvir Shorey, which is a celebrity dance reality competition. He hosted the host of Science of Stupid.

Manish’s net worth is estimated to be Rs. 4 crores, and he gets paid Rs. 2.5 crore for hosting one season of a reality/television show.

Awards:

For his work as a host, he received the Best Host Award for Indian Idol 10 at the Telly Awards and Entertainer Of The Year at the JustUrbane Awards. And PTC Film Award for Rising Star Entertainer of the year. As an actor, he received the Zee Cine Best Actor award in a comic role for the film Jug Jug Jiyo.
